I tailor my methods to meet the unique needs of each client, I see everyone as an individual and will never compare you to somebody else.

My background includes a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a Diploma in Mental Health Informed Schools and Communities. (Trauma Informed Practitioner)

As well as working in education for over eleven years with SEN experience, providing a solid foundation for my counselling practice. However, my commitment doesn't just stop there, I personally understand the transformative benefits of counselling.

Counselling

A BACP registered Counsellor, I am an integrative therapist working under the ethical framework of the BACP. I’m a firm believer that everyone can benefit from counselling.

I create a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment through a range of therapeutic interventions. What may feel daunting or overwhelming, my aim is to support you in untangling things at your pace and comfort. The process has no time limit and will take as long as it needs to, people often wonder who counselling is for and sometimes are fearful of reaching out. I do honestly believe everyone can benefit from counselling and I have seen second hand the benefits and reassurance of speaking with a professiona. I see client's face-to-face for appointments, I also offer online sessions or can offer sessions by telephone and even walk and talk sessions.

My Background

As a therapist we all have different journeys that have led us into training to become counsellors, mine started when I needed to reach out and I seen the benefits it can have in speaking with a professional. I come from a sporting background in where things didn't go the way I thought they would, set backs are a part of life and on my journey to being a therapist, I felt I needed to understand myself better, hitting bumps in the road are a part of life and it gives me great pleasure in being able to support adults and young people in slowing things down and being able to get to the causes of these bumps that may feel overwhelming and confusing and hard to understand. whether it be mental health issues or a space to just de clutter life and find clarity, your needs are important to be listened to and it's something I work hard on with clients in building a relationship of trust and safety.
